DeeDee Lake is a Christian author, speaker, and business coach for aspiring authors. A six-time published author, Navy brat, and proud Army wife, DeeDee brings faith, storytelling, practical strategy, and a little military-life grit to everything she does.

Through her books, speaking, coaching, author resources, and her Authorpreneur Compass blog, DeeDee equips writers to take their next right step in publishing, platform building, book marketing, and the business side of writing.

DeeDee is also the founder of Hill Country Author, where she creates author resources, webinars, and connection opportunities for writers.

DeeDee’s Background

DeeDee’s background is rooted in faith, family, military life, publishing, and years of supporting authors. As a Navy brat and the wife of a retired Army helicopter pilot, she understands change, resilience, commitment, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward.

For more than a decade, DeeDee has worked with a Christian publishing house, encouraging authors as they navigate the publishing process, build their platforms, and think like authorpreneurs. Her experience gives her a practical understanding of what aspiring authors need most: clear direction, doable steps, and steady encouragement.

For authors, DeeDee focuses on the business side of writing, including author platform growth, publishing strategy, book marketing, reader connection, and practical next steps. She does not believe authors need more confusion. They need a guide, a plan, and someone cheering them on from the trailhead to book deployment... and beyond.

By engaging the services of DeeDee Lake Consulting, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions outlined below. Our services are tailored to meet the specific needs and objectives of each client. All information shared with DeeDee Lake Consulting during the consulting process will be treated confidentially and will not be disclosed to third parties without the client's consent.

DeeDee Lake Consulting reserves the right to decline any project that is deemed to be in conflict with our values, ethics, or expertise. Clients are responsible for providing accurate and timely information necessary for the successful completion of the consulting project.

Fees for consulting services will be determined on a project-by-project basis and will be outlined in a written agreement signed by both parties before the commencement of services. Payment for consulting services is due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

In the event that the client wishes to terminate the consulting agreement, they must provide written notice to DeeDee Lake Consulting. Any fees paid for services rendered up to the point of termination are non-refundable.

DeeDee Lake Consulting will make every effort to meet deadlines and deliverables as agreed upon in the consulting agreement.
